Brockville Tourism Festival and Events Coordinator Contact position renewed annually with possibility of permanent full time employment in a not for profit organization - 37.5 hr/week brockvilletourism/employment Main Objectives of the Brockville Tourism Festival and Events Coordinator are: The Festivals and Event position would be responsible for researching and creating a New Annual Signature Event/Festival as well as “shoulder or off Season” events including by not limited to Sports Tourism opportunities, school events and tournaments, and creating packaging opportunities. It would be the responsibility of the Special Festival and Events Coordinator to meet with all existing festivals/event organizers and learn what works well for each festival/event. The position will assist festival and events with the creation of networking opportunities and appreciation events, with sponsorship opportunities, with creation of volunteer databases, and will be a liaison with service clubs and key volunteer organization. The Festival and Events Coordinator would be responsible for the creation of consistent visitor tracking models, surveys and analysis for future planning and development of local festival/events and for grant writing submissions. The Festivals and Event position would grow tourisms in Brockville and area, and bring tourism dollars into town. The money raised through the Signature Festival/Event would help sustain the position. Reporting to the Tourism Manager you will be responsible for: Assisting with the development of marketing and advertising for festivals and events, recruitment and sponsorship plans and oversee execution Assisting festivals and events committees with grant writing, arrangements, ordering and booking when required Creating and maintaining an excellent database/knowledge base of Brockville and 1000 Islands festivals, events and committees and knowledge of general visitor and operator services.
