Anyone remember The Pinecliff as it was in Southbourne, which then became The Malt and Hops, another great venue from the late 80s and 90S for live bands. Sadly declined in the 2000s and is now well and truly shut and looking very sad. I had heard that its owned or the land is by a church and that the covenant states it has to be a pub / hostel for the benefit of the community which is presumably why it hasnt been sold off to be turned into flats.
