Anyone who has the audacity to try and say Carbon dating isnt reliable because its not perfect doesnt seem to understand just how accurate these tests are. 85% accuracy is spectacular. But you say oh they can be off by hundreds of thousands of years and in reply I ask. Where is the evidence if this, and in the scenario where something is being dated far enough back that 100,000 years is even a number that comes up, how much does 100,000 years matter? For instance if you are dating something that comes out to be billions of years old, being 100,000 years off is really not that large if a difference. But again, I need to see some evidence that shows carbon dating is/ can be that far off.
