Anyone whos seen Bowling For Columbine may recall Michael Moores observation of the role US Media (and its sensationalist and fear-mongering approach) plays in the disproportionate number of US shooting deaths in comparison to Canada. Heres a perfect example of that in action! Australian media should take heed as were definitely guilty of excessive sensationalism in the pursuit of ratings/readership..... we dont want to end up as a society of paranoid, gun-toting and trigger-happy muppets. ;-)
