Anythin that has advantage must surely manifest some disadvantage. When Nigeria was partitioned by Britain, large land mass was allocated to North for some perceived future advantages. For those of us that have travelled to one part of the North or the other, you witness that one local govt is almost as large as a state in some other parts of the country wit houses remotely/distantly located from each other. Apart from givin the North advantage of commercial farmland, cattle grazin fields, more local govts & more constituencies/representation in the NASS, I dont see the reason a section of the country shuld occupy more than 70% of our land mass. After readin that the town where over 100 school girls were abducted is about 119kilometres to the state capital-Maiduguri, I see the reason why the Boko Haram insurgents hav a wide ground to thrive. In some sections of the country, 119klms traverses one state capital to another. Eg. Frm Abakaliki to Enugu to Awka to Asaba is less than 60klms respectively wit each less than 45mins drive on a constant speed of 90kmph. But in the North, there ar places u travel for 4hours frm middle of a state to within the same state. Wit this remote places frm where these bastards operate, there is no hw they wil not b gettin information of inpendin assult by JTF givin the distance to cover. To press home my point, I think resettlement of the prone areas occupants is a solution. This wil help the security concentrate for strangers/strange movements if realy the North is ready to destroy the monster they allowed to grow that is now claimin the wrong victims.
