Anúna are looking for a soprano to take to Japan in - TopicsExpress

Anúna are looking for a soprano to take to Japan in November/December with an option to continue on in December through the Benelux countries - home Christmas Eve. Here are some Anúna specifics: Anúna is one of the most unusual choral groups in the world, fusing professional choral ensemble singing with atmospheric stage presentation and a particular ethos that has brought it to the forefront of choral music worldwide. Venues have included the Royal Albert Hall, The Concertgbouw and the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing. Our structure is project based. We book singers depending on the event, whether it be a concert tour, a recording or one off performances. Forthcoming projects for 2014 include tours of Japan, Belgium and the Netherlands and a recording. Our ethos is unusual. All singers must have choral singing experience to a high level, classical singing training, moderate to good reading capabilities and a capacity to be vocally flexible. There are twelve singers in the ensemble. We sing without music, and move often during performances, using no conductor or director. We sing primarily in Latin, English and the Irish language. We have a particular methodology of performance. We emphasise relaxed vocal production, unforced and unmannered singing advocating the removal of strain and artifice from the singers performance. Write to [email protected] for audition requirements. Initial requirements are digital. Closing date for this season [2014/15 early] is August 10th.
