Apart from the oxygen you couldnt tell how gravely ill I was - I always made sure I was tanned and looking my best but inside I knew my time was nearing an end. These pictures were taken five years ago, and over the next 13 days Im going to share with you all just truly the gift that was given to me by my donor. Saying goodbye was never my worry, those I left behind were. The memories that would fade, the stories that would change, the forgetting of mY laugh and my parents , family and friends having to pick up the pieces. As I near my five year anniversary I smile for the memories I have made and cry for those who have not been as fortunate. Please sign the organ donor register and talk about it. Without my hero I wouldnt be able to live.
