Apologies for the lengthy and HEAVY status... but today I realized something. I woke up this morning to fix my toilet on my boat, about a month ago my buddy Troy Fallon stopped by and without asking walked into my bathroom and dropped a mighty deuce in my boat toilet. For those who know the golden rule… youre never supposed to go number 2 in a boat or RV toilet. Anyways from that day forward my boat bathroom always had a different oder to it every time you flushed. Today was the day I fixed it. I needed to buy a part called a JOKER VALVE which keeps odors in the waste holding tank (Troy must have stretched my old one out) I was having a little bit of a hard time fixing it and my father coincidentally stopped by to check up on me. 5 minutes after he left I saw a man standing at the end of my pier waving his hands in the air frantically… immediately after a ambulance and a firetruck along with a parade of police cars showed up and rushed to the boat parked across from mine. I sat there and watched as they pulled a naked man out of the cabin of the boat and began to perform CPR on him... then I watched him die. I sat there is disbelief as my heart raced and I felt sick to my stomach. You only have one shot at this thing called life, and I realized that life is no joke Be thankful for the things you have and more importantly the DAYS you have. Yes it was a grey, shitty (no pun intended) first day of october but today I WOKE UP, happy to be alive with a beautiful mindset. So ill leave you with this… Take a second to think about how lucky you are to simply be alive and healthy. And take a moment to tell the ones around you that you simply love them. You never know when there time will come, because it eventually always does.
