Apostolic & Prophetic Kingdom Authority In The 21st Century - TopicsExpress

Apostolic & Prophetic Kingdom Authority In The 21st Century Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone, Chief Apostle and High Priest, Elder Brother, Owner, Master and King and it was His express purpose to establish his Church upon the foundation of apostles and prophets. What many who ascribe to present truth theology may unknowingly be missing is that the apostles and prophets that Jesus established the foundation of the Church upon were so well versed and experienced in Jesus preached doctrine of the Kingdom of God that their gifting was not their claim to fame but Jesus as King was and the fact that the Kingdom had come. These apostles were called by Jesus and ordained of Him to preach the same Kingdom message Jesus preached and to do it with power in a demonstration of healing the sick and casting out devils. These disciples were in the School of the Kingdom where the milk of the word introduced them to the doctrine of the Kingdom, restoration of the dominion that was at the first, the Kingdom. Micah 4:8 Jesus called these disciples from their businesses, employment and families to follow Him unconditionally. Jesus having first shown Himself to be an extraordinary leader, one who leads by example and who is acquainted uniquely with the day to day temptations and experiences of those He called, preached before them and all who had gathered, that His Fathers government was at hand (present now) and in this lead by example scenario His cast out devils and healed the sick to prove it. This same Jesus who established the Church upon the foundation of apostles and prophets, Jesus Himself being the Chief Cornerstone also spent time teaching the disciples the attitudes that they were to be having as citizens of the Kingdom that had come, and also sons and daughters of the Most High. According to the Apostle Matthews account Jesus spoke to them from the mount and told them of who they had to be in order to experience the Kingdom that had just arrived. Jesus said among other things, Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. Jesus told them that those who would be peacemakers are blessed. He also told these disciples who would be apostles one day, and prophets as well as also becoming evangelists, pastors and teachers that those who would be persecuted for righteousness sake, the Kingdom would belong to them. Jesus told this group that they were to rejoice when persecuted and that they were the salt of the earth and light of the world. He was building in his followers an identity that was supposed to mark them forever. Jesus told them that they were to maintain their saltiness or what they were carrying in having become followers of Him would lose its value. As the leader that He was and is He tells these disciples that now that they are light, they are to shine on purpose and to never hide the light that theyve become. Jesus is trusting these disciples to light the way for people who are in darkness even as Jesus came as light to them that sat in darkness. Jesus told these soon to be apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers that when they operate in the fullness of the ministry He was calling them to, that men who see their good works and glorify God. Oh what training that came from the Son of God to build in his followers a new identity and an understanding of their purpose. Amazingly Jesus left no stone unturned in getting to these disciples and understanding of how important it is for them to make it into the eternal Kingdom. Jesus told them whosoever shall do and teach them (the commandments Jesus gave them) would be great in the Kingdom of heaven. He goes on to tell them that unless their righteousness exceeded that of the scribes and Pharisees they would in no case, not by any means, be able to enter the Kingdom of heaven. There are apostles and prophets today whose focus is on their gifting, their authority and a need to lord themselves over the flock of God while isolating anyone who doesnt agree with their doctrine. Many of these leaders have so occupied themselves with the concept of father/son relationships that they dont preach the Kingdom at all, dont even know the message of the Kingdom and what it means in the 21st Century. Jesus was so emphatic in His training of these apostles and prophets to be, and those who would also occupy the offices of evangelist, pastors and teachers that He tells them that their number one allegiance is to be to God and God alone. He warned them that if they did not maintain allegiance to the Father, listening and obeying the voice of God in all His instructions to them, then their gifts and ability to cast out devils and miraculous exploits would mean nothing to the Father nor to the Son at the time that these leaders would stand before Jesus in that final day. Jesus, the Chief Cornerstone, the Chief Apostle and High Priest stated in no uncertain terms that the very ones who were gifted and demonstrated evidence of have the power and authority they exercised would still be denied entrance into the eternal kingdom, Jesus have concluded that He didnt really know them and that they were only iniquity to Him and that He never knew them. Todays apostles and prophets having graduated schools of the prophets and having been mentored by seasoned apostles, have focused on the authority of the offices, but not the character or the assignment to preach the Kingdom. Many of these leaders have convinced themselves that using Kingdom terminology is equal to preaching, teaching and living Kingdom theology and yet the urgency, power and priority that the kingdom message really is goes missing and their knowledge goes lacking for having failed to become like children to embrace the kingdom message Jesus preached and to submit as disciplined students, rulers in training, in the school of the Kingdom. For these rulers in training, these future graduates who would one day matriculate and become students in the school of the Holy Spirit for the rest of their lives, Jesus was teaching them the message, the mission and giving them the motivation and method of advancing His Kingdom. They one day would be singularly and collectively responsible for equipping the Church, His other handpicked representatives, that the Body of Christ would serve in the ministry and word of reconciliation, God working in them as in us in the 21st Century to reconcile man back to Himself, that God would restore to man the dominion that was at the first, the Kingdom that Adam lost. I do not discount the work of apostles and prophets in the 21st Century but I question such preoccupation with Malachis prophesy of restoration of fathers and sons without these same so called apostles not picking up on the urgency, power and priority of the Kingdom message Jesus preached and its vital connection to properly equipping the saints to know and have the full counsel of God and live according to right priority. We are in an age where judgment has come to the house of the Lord, not because I say so but because the evidence reveals that there are apostles that are self-proclaimed, in other words theyve been found to be liars simply by their rejection of the words of Jesus and the true apostles and prophets Hes sending forth to bring the needed adjustments. We are living in that hour where the Pauls are bringing corrections to the Peters and the Peters who are being withstood to their face are more concerned about being right in the eyes of God than having their egos bruised. Saints of God, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers God is calling you not to rely on your gifting or present truth of the restoration of fathers to sons alone. He is calling you to become like a child again and come back to Jesus School of The Kingdom where we can learn the elementary doctrines of Christ (not about Christ), but what Christ taught and move forward having become all the more transformed by the result of having made Gods Kingdom and righteousness our number one priority according to Matthew 6:33. The authority of apostles and their sphere of influence is without question an assignment from God. The ability to recognize authentic apostles is not by the labels one calls themselves but by either the revelation of the Kingdom or their openness to it and ultimately their full development having embraced Jesus original assignment to not only every apostle but to the entirety of the five-fold ministry that we would all be speaking the same thing. We will continue this subject of apostolic and prophetic kingdom authority in the 21st Century in the near future. Just know that authentic apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers remain teachable and/or are quick to repent and make the adjustments necessary, as Peter did having received Pauls correction. They both wanted to be right in Gods eyes and neither wanted to be right in their own eyes having succumbed to pride and ego in ministry. They love God and knew that Jesus was King so truth and obedience meant everything to them and ultimately they both began to speak the same thing. That my friends is Kingdom.
