Apparently, some people seem to be confused between the differences between Arab and Muslim as well as the definition of Arab. This is a brief information and general idea of the Arab and Muslim world. Please correct me if I am spreading false information. Not all Muslim are Arabs and not all of them are proficient in Arabic and may only know basic sentences such as greeting and saying good bye in Arabic. Islam is a religion that can be traced back to Abraham and is the only religion other than Christianity that officially recognised Jesus or Isla as the messenger of God (Jesus may not be seen in Divine manners as compared to Islam). The most common languages that the Muslims are Arabic, followed by Malay, Farsi/Dari (?), Turkish, Urdu, Bengali, Kazakh and many others. This shows that the Islamic religion stretches from North Africa to Arabia and Turkey to Central Asia all the way to Western India (I am referring India as a subcontinent) and China and finally to Malaya and Indonesia. Arab is more of a linguistic and cultural identity rather than a ethnic and racial identity. There are many different dialect of Arabic being spoken, for example Arabic spoken in Morocco can incomprehensible to Lebanese Arabic speakers. Arab can come from a very diverse range of skin tone and phenotype. Arab can be as dark as ethiopian and sudanese to brown skin which are common in Saudi Arabia and Egypt and finally to very light skin, even blonde hair and blue eyes which are rather common in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Syria and Lebanon.
