Apparently the *ahem* lovely parking attendants at the Fort dont care that I am entitled to park in a disabled bay and can prove it. I didnt display the badge, therefore Im liable to pay £60 now or £100 if I dare question their decision. Ive appealed to them directly but now have to appeal to an independent body. Apparently mitigating circumstances dont detract from the facts. Im urging them to take Hugh out in the pouring rain for a day and try and lift the worlds heaviest wheelchair out of the boot, put it together whilst the rain drips down their back, get the oxygen, the bag and mask, the emergency rescue medication, the feeding pump, feed and changing bag and then lift a near two and a half stone dead weight from the back of the car whilst he screams because hes getting soaked. All whilst checking a 5 year old isnt running out in front of cars. I wonder then could they understand how easy it is to forget to display a blue badge??? I completely understand the need to check and penalise people who use disabled bays without entitlement but why penalise someone who IS entitled to be there? Im so so angry right now. :(
