Apparently there was a miscommunication during the initial call to 911 reporting the incident at the FAA building in the Chicago area. The man who initially called 911 said there was a dangerous Fir in the building. The 911 operator assumed that he meant fire and the story spread from there. This led to a great deal of damage being done until the proper responders could be brought in to subdue the threat. Most people do not do not believe just how dangerous a Fir can be.
