Apparently today is discuss the 2nd Amendment day here at CASCOM.. So, here I go! The 2nd Amendment is just that, an Amendment. Meaning the constitution was amended to place it in there. Later on, it can be amended or removed again. The constitution was designed to be a malleable document to keep it relevant to the times. If the goverment decided that its no longer needed as is, and they change it IAW the procedures established by said document, than that is completely legal, and whats more, completely constitutional. The founding father lived several hundred years ago. They could not have imagined the world we live in now. To keep the document exactly the same, never changing, would me like trying to assemble an F-16 using some string and an old Atari manual. The only constant in life is change... Well, and death, but thats not technically part of life, but an end to it.
