*** Appeal Following Robbery, Stockton *** Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident on Bishopton Road, close to the junction of Britannia Road. The incident took place at around 5pm on Saturday 8th November when a 32-year-old woman was stood by the side of her vehicle. A male riding a pedal cycle along Bishopton Road towards Durham Road/Bishopton Lane knocked into the woman, causing her to fall to the floor. He then grabbed her handbag and made off. He dropped the handbag minus the victim’s purse. The woman suffered minor injuries in the incident. The suspect is described as a white male. He was wearing a black hooded top and dark bottoms and was riding a black pedal cycle. Any witnesses are asked to contact DC Rachael Smith from Stockton Volume Crime Team on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
