Apple picking Every flower, says George Bernard Shaw, has a season, and so is with each fruit and leaf, too. Here in Rhode Island and in mid-autumn the trees are laden with apples - eyes-catching and delicious, and Fall colors for which visitors from different parts of USA and abroad make a bee-line. We were lucky to be part of this great exhibition of nature. The friendly owner of this farm invites people, specially kids, to pay visits for apple picking. We can enjoy the farm, pluck and eat as many apples as we can, and carry a few of our choice at a nominal cost. The first three photos from left show me with Vijaya picking apples and admiring the natures bounty and in the last one with the playful granddaughters with a lovely backdrop of fall colors. These photos were taken by our daughter-in-law, in White Oak Farm in Scituate, Rhode Island.
