Application Architect Job Description Provide end to end application architecture and design for complex business solutions. • Accountable for developing and owning strategies and roadmaps applications • Accountable for defining comprehensive standards for integrated solutions, ensuring mentoring, knowledge assets and best practices for integrated solutions • Accountable for developing target architectures for individual applications • Target the development and use of reusable designs and shared services across process flows and applications • Drive the identification, promotion and development of software development frameworks, persistence mechanisms, functional libraries etc. • Lead the application architecture deliverables consisting of multiple disciplines of architecture such as technology, platform and information architecture • Must have the in depth knowledge and implementation experience of industry standard frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate etc. • Drive high throughput, highly scalable and high performing application design considering the legacy system as constraints • Must have proven in depth architecture experience of designing and developing business critical and revenue generating applications • Ensure conceptual and high level designs that incorporate the appropriate input and assets from the various platform specialists and domain experts • Accountable for the successful delivery of Business Unit projects • Knowledge and effective use of design patterns in overall strategy Requirement • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience • 7+ experience as a practicing architect with 5+ experience in an Application and Technical architect function • Minimum 7+ of IT delivery experience, especially in Internet environments • Minimum of 7 experience in object oriented programming (Java, C++, Objective-C, C#, or similar) • Minimum of 5+ experience delivering solutions involving SQL and relational database design (Oracle is a plus) • Strong familiarity with the full technology stacks involved in web application delivery including front end UIs, middle tier and backend services (including: JavaScript frameworks, HTML5, CSS3, MVVM, SOA, ASP.Net, ORM, SQL) • Minimum of 4 years recent experience in C# • Experience consuming and creating web services in a .Net environment. • Ability to work on multiple projects and be flexible to adapt to changing requirements • Ability to turn high-level requirements into a working system through iterative development • High energy, confident, ambitious and self-motivated individual. • Must be an effective communicator.
