Today we’re featuring Jordy Domingos, a STEP Intern on the Chrome Privacy team in Munich as part of our “Spotlight on a STEP Intern” series. For the next few months, you’ll get an inside glimpse of our STEP Internship in Europe and a look at some of the impactful projects they’re working on. Hello everyone! I’m Jordy, a second year student at EPITECH Paris and I was a STEP intern for 12 weeks at Google Munich. I worked on Chromium Project ( goo.gl/FRlsB2 ), the open-source browser Google Chrome is based on. As part of the Chrome Privacy team, I had the opportunity to work on security issues including improving the password manager UI and setting up a way to monitor future breakages. I loved my project because it was so much more than just coding. Moreover, I’m proud that my work has touched millions of users. I also learned a lot during my time at Google. For one, STEP was my first time working abroad as I’m from France; I met many amazing people from all over the world and had the chance to improve my English. I also improved my coding skills and am much stronger in C++. The work conditions were impressive too. When I wanted a break, I simply went to my nearest massage chair to relax!
