This is my cousin Brandon. Brandon had a stroke three months ago and is recovering at home after being in the hospital in New York for two months. He is currently going through rehabilitation for speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Anyone that knows of someone who has had a stroke knows the challenges that each day brings. He has had to learn how to swallow, roll over in bed so he could swing his legs out to get out of bed, get dressed with one hand (which is a real challenge), put his brace on so he can walk around the block, and many other functions that we all take for granted. Through it all he still likes to joke around with his family and friends. They have been a huge support of love and encouragement throughout his ordeal. He knows he is loved but he knows he has a long road ahead of him. To continue with his therapy he needs a very special piece of equipment that the insurance company will not pay for. We are trying to raise money to pay for that. The cost is 23,000 dollars. We are asking you to open your hearts to help us with this goal. He desperately needs it for his progress.
