Appreciate all your messages enquiring about Navika. I have a mixed update. Navika continues to be in hospital. The intensity of the headaches have come down but not the frequency. The IV pain killers are being stopped and replaced with oral syrups as it cannot continue for a long time however will be given based on need. A VEP (Visual Evoked Potential) was done to test her Vision, but the ophthalmologist is on leave till end of this week to explain the result. I went through the report & could infer that there are no signals being picked up by the right eye. When the same test was done 2 months back, the observation was that the signals are getting through to the brain but are delayed. Anyways let me wait to hear from the ophthalmologist on Monday. For now the continuity of the radiation sessions is keeping us in the fight. Navika will be turning three this 19th. She was 18 months when first diagnosed so effectively have lived half her life with the disease. Hope she is blessed with good health the rest of it.
