Approximately 12:50am, a Chicago Police Officer sat in his own vehicle on detail about the 7400 Block of South Langley. He was approached by a group of 3 males in his own vehicle. Sensing something felt wrong, the Officer began an attempt to pull away from his location, when the group opened fire on him, shooting him repeatedly in the chest. The Officer continued to pull away from the scene and keep driving, until he could flag down a marked Police cruiser. They hurried him out of his car and to the local hospital, where he was treated and listed in stable but serious condition. Godspeed in Recovery Brother! Remain Vigilant Brothers and Sisters!
