Approximately 2:30 PM today police were notified of a bank robbery that took place in Hainesport Township. The investigation lead to the area of Creek Rd where multiple jurisdictions were involved in the search for the suspect(s). As a precaution the Florence Walther School was locked down and a supervised dismissal of the students was conducted. Some roads in the township were also closed and caused students to be delayed in arriving home. Phone messages went out to ensure the safety of our residents. The area of Creek Rd still has a lot of police activity and residents are urged to stay away from that area. We apologize for any inconvenience however all actions were instituted to ensure the safety of children and residents.
