April 14th 2014, 11.54 pm I’ve covered a distance of 211 km yesterday. The distance from Besiktas (41.042072,29.007503) to Babaeski (41.433493,27.086184) is 198 km and from home to Besiktas is another 13 km. My distance meter was broken down in Besiktas, so the rest was from Uncle Google. I realized that I am pedaling to get away from Istanbul after passing by Kucukcekmece (41.008662,28.774774). Then, I realized that would be my life for the next 6 months. Today, I am in Edirne (41.678153,26.559189). It was really close from Babaeski but the inner tube was split on the way. I walked for 1 hour to Havsa (41.55068,26.815842) and then arrived at 10 pm although I left Babaeski around 4 pm. While I was pushing my bike next to the road, a van stopped and offered me a ride but I declined. I want this journey to be done only by muscle work. One of the real travelers, Melih, is hosting me tonight, he even bought wine for me. All in all: I left Istanbul, I pedaled a lot. I am slow enough to relax my mind.
