April 23: Through the year chronological reading and study of the Bible from James McFerrin; State Line church of Christ Fayetteville, TN. PAUL RETURNS TO CORINTH/GREECE; WRITES TO GALATIA. Acts 20:2, 3 After having spent a few months in Macedonia, Paul continued his trip to Corinth. During this visit with the Corinthians, he received the contribution that the church had gathered for the poor saints at Jerusalem. In spite of the letter from the apostles at Jerusalem just after Paul’s first missionary journey and his personal teaching on the matter, there was widespread conflict between Jewish Christians and Gentile converts. The Jews continued to insist that the Gentiles abide by certain aspects of the Law of Moses. The Gentile churches in Galatia had suffered from these same problems with Judaizing teachers who also attempted to discredit Paul’s authority as an apostle.
