April ~ 30 Days of Prayer DAY 6 ~ Together we ask The Lord to give us a fresh awareness of His holiness and our lack of it. Only through Him can we fulfill 1 Peter 1:16: it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see The Lord: Romans 6:19 ...even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 2 Cor. 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Eph. 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 1 Thess. 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. True holiness produces humility and compassion. Man-made holiness produces pride and exclusivity. ~ Jim Kilgore Our righteousness is like filthy garments before The Lord and we have no holiness of our own to boast in before The Lord. The Lord calls us unto holiness and requires us to be holy for He is holy. So as we pray for a fresh awareness of Gods holiness and our lack of it, lets yield our bodies & lives as servants to righteousness unto holiness. I pray that we will completely submit ourselves to God allowing Him to cover us with His righteousness & holiness. ~ Clifton Turner
