April 4 ,2014 St. Isidore, Bishop and Doctor Friday, 4th Week of Lent Lord Jesus, without You I can do nothing and apart from You I cannot live. Open my eyes to the example of trust that You had in Your Father’s plan so I may learn to trust more in Your Divine Providence. Allow Your Word to free me from my own ignorance, stubborn pride and deception that I may willingly accept all Your plans with utmost faith and reverence. Enlarge my heart as I strive to believe in You more, hope in Your promises and love You above all so I may conquer my fears and endure all trials and adversities for the sake of my eternal salvation. Help me to realize that my real identity is in You, and that I may never have to depend on any human approval in order to experience true fulfillment. Probe the depth of my conscience with Your mighty Word that I may keep my thoughts and efforts focused on Your will as I go about doing good, generously serving others, for Your greater honor and glory.
