April is School Library Month. School Libraries in Texas and across the country play an invaluable role in the education and development of our kids. From a young age, I loved reading. Books took me to fascinating places far away from Alpine. Today, libraries still help kids grow and gain new perspectives on Texas, the U.S. and the world we live in. Through the Library of Congress Book Surplus Program, I distribute books on a wide range of genres to schools and libraries across 23rd District of Texas.
