Apropos to our proposed trip to Namibia I was telling Frikkie about my childhood growing up in Tsumeb, Namibia. In our garden stood a huge maroela tree in which I built a treehouse which was little more than planks nailed down to form a platform and a blanket suspended from the higher overhead branches to form a makeshift tent. When I felt like something to eat I would simply pick maroelas, which by the way are delicious, and ate them. And whenever I got down I would pick up some of the fruit that had already dropped form the branches due to being over ripe and these were THE BEST as when you ate them they had a kind of a fizz! Now I know why everybody always thought I was such a happy, funny, and lively child! :)
