Aquatics Supervisor Abdo is pleased to report that Southwest Pool will be the host facility for winter training for swimming and diving teams from throughout the Northeast United States. During the months of December and January, teams travel to Florida to train during their winter break. West Florida Lightning Aquatics (WFLA), oversees this program, and is coordinating contracts with ten teams including Bryn Mawr College, Depauw University, Marshall University, Monroe Community College, Saint Francis University, South Dakota State University, Sundsvall Swim team from Sweden, Susquehanna University, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and Wright State University.
