Arc I by Ian Campbell-Briggs MRBS will be joining us for our garden sculpture event, starting Saturday 2 August. The piece draws inspiration from the Classical Greek sculpture Victory at Samothrace. The surface has been allowed to rust, therefore unifying the heavily modelled areas of the figure with the architectonic, industrial wings. The sculpture has previously been exhibited at Rochester Cathedral, The National Trust’s Mottisfont Abbey and Burghley House. Ian was born in 1964, graduated from West Surrey College of Art and Design, and was taught by Bob Russell one of Henry Moore’s technicians. He is a Member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. He has exhibited widely in London, across the UK and has had two exhibitions in Europe. He has been commissioned to produce three large public art sculptures. sculpturedoddingtonhall/
