Architect Job Type : Art / Design / Creative Location : Lebanon, Beirut Company : Premium Projects Job Title: Architectural engineering Manager Division: Construction Management Reports to: Director Construction Management Division Scope of work: Lead the procurement function within the company, coordinate and manage the daily activities to ensure the smooth operation of the function and the uninterrupted supply of sub-contractors, materials, tools and equipment at optimum cost. Develop and maintain key supplier relationships to improve the quality, delivery and price of the needs in addition to playing an instrumental role in securing purchasing contracts Coordinate the architectural reviews of the drawings of the consultants and coordinate with the sub-contractors for the proper shop-drawings Main duties: • Monitor and improve the procurement policies and procedures ensuring all involved stakeholders are continuously complying with the guidelines. • Develop project procurement plans in coordination with the Project Manager and Projects Control Manager to ensure the timely delivery of material, equipment and sub-contractor to the project. • Identify potential suppliers through conducting market scanning and research, proceed with their selection based on preset criteria and develop vendors and subcontractors’ preferred lists and request quotations and price lists • Use knowledge and expertise in architecture & engineering and coordinate with architects and interior architects of 3rd party suppliers (Aal& Associates being an interior architecture sister company or any other consultant) to provide highest quality final designs of and material selection • Participate in the development of the specifications of equipment, tools, products and substitute materials in order to give to the construction management a clear view on the market and available products • Ensure that the procurement documentation and correspondences are promptly filed, using both electronic solutions and paper filing in coordination with the company’s document controller • Coordinate internally with concerned parties (including Finance department, and projects control department) to follow-up on payments (advance payments, bank transfers and documentary credits) related to orders to reduce unforeseen problems • Communicate with the engineering manager and the director construction management division at Premium Projects to get the input of the consultants. • Ensuring that the consolidated design drawings given by Aal& Associates (sister company) contain the needed information, BoQs, specifications in coordination with the Construction management division. • Send the reviewed design drawings to the project managers • Receive all the shop drawings and execution drawings reviewed by Aal& Associates, and deliver the drawings to the project managers. • Participate in the site inspections conducted by Aal& Associates acting as the client representative Education and Experience: • Bachelor degree in Architecture or civil Engineering degree • 9 years of experience in the construction field between office work and site • Mininium experience in the construction procurement field Competencies and Skills: • Good communication and negotiation skills • Time management and project management skills • Knowledge of business and management principles • Good organizational management skills • Good knowledge in materials management • Leadership skills and ability to lead and work with a team Interested candidates may apply online at : jobsloop.net/details.php?p=301 & mention your name in the comments for reference.
