Arcon Recruitment Mayo 7’s Review Manulla cemented their place at the top of the Arcon Recruitment 7s league after a comprehensive victory over Conn Rangers. Partry Athletic, who were joint top, lost ground on the leaders as they were defeated by Conn Rangers. There were also wins for Ballyhaunis Town and Westport United. In the nights opening game, Gary McHale was the star man, as he hit a hat trick for Manulla in their 4-1 win over Conn Rangers. Gerry Canavan was also on target for this young Manulla side, while Sami Taw replied for Conn Rangers. Crossmolina took on Westport United in a goal feast on Friday night. In the end, Westport were comfortable 8-3 winners. Mark McNally scored five, while Padraig Foran, Tom McGing and Paul Geraghty were also on the score sheet. Mark Rothwell, Ciaran Traynor and Adam Colohan replied for Crossmolina. Achill Rovers were impressive winners against joint table toppers Partry Athletic, with a 4-2 win. Kryz Jablonski was on target twice, with Brendan McClay and Patrick Grealis also on the score sheet. Jason Duddy and Michael Jennings replied for Partry. The evenings final game saw Ballyhaunis Town run riot against Manulla B, with a comprehensive 6-1 win. Kieran Kirrane bagged a hat trick, while Kieran Mooney scored a brace and Alan Canny was also on target. Barry Cuffe scored Manulla B s solitary reply. Team of the day: Achill Rovers.....The islanders were extremely impressive in their victory over Partry Athletic, who were joint top with Manulla coming into the game. It propels Achill into fourth place in the table. Player of the day: Kieran Kirrane (Ballyhaunis Town).....Every time he ran at Manulla B he looked dangerous, with tricky play and pace in behind. Also bagged a hat trick for himself.
