Are You In The Giving Mood This Christmas?? The BL Small Acts Of Kindness Camapaign 2013. Storehouse is Boltons food bank, providing emergency food parcels to people hit by illness, debts or fines, benefit delays, homelessness, domestic abuse, redundancy or family breakdown. Vouchers are held by more than 50 agencies across Bolton. There are clear criteria to ensure that the food gets to the people who need it most. Run by Urban Outreach (Bolton), Storehouse feeds around 300 people each week. When people collect food, they are referred to other specialist agencies who can help with such things as debts, finding accommodation, and tackling domestic abuse. At the moment they especially need: Tinned meat Tinned fish Baked beans Tinned fruit Jars of pasta sauce/curry sauce UHT milk Chunky soups Biscuits and cereal Tinned potatoes and veg coffee Tea bags Tinned tomatoes Jam Rice Cereals Dried pasta twirls/macaroni Rice pudding From Saturday 23rd November, for one week you can drop off donations to Mecca Bingo on Ormrod Street from 11am to 11pm until Saturday the 30th November. Even if you can just donate 1 tin that would mean the world to these guys and people who are genuinely going to have a bad Christmas, it shouldnt be like this in this day and age in the UK but sadly it is, its time we stuck with our own and looked after own, so please donate if you can.
