Are You Ready For This? Back when I was young I had a boyfriend who was a mechanic. He had a friend who liked Stock Car Racing...So of course he ended up on the pit crew. Before every race was a qualifying round, where drivers and their cars would setup on the track, usually two at a time and make a qualifying run. The purpose of this qualifying run was to set your position in the race...because everyone knows, the better your position when you start the race, the better chance you have of winning.
