Are religious people crazy? View 114 comments Comment By: Stream too 2013-08-28 09:22 Yesterday I was offered Christian Counselling for my son by someone that had read my articles on News 24, This induhvidual obviously has the reading capacity of a 6 year old because he missed the part about me being an Atheist, He also failed to understand that by offering me Christian Counselling for a troubled teenager he would offend me. I know that if I want counselling for a kid it will be to solve real problems, not to inject him with a god virus. For those wondering, we have solved most of the issues without imaginary friends. Are Religious people crazy? Rodins Thinker very nicely laid out what genocide is according to the United Nations, He then argued that God was a genocidal monster based on many bible verses and wars in which God commanded the genocide of tribes and nations. The Christian argument was very convoluted. God makes the rules ergo God cannot be judged by human standards. Hitler was the head honcho in Nazi Germany, He mercilessly wiped out the "Untermensch". As the boss he cannot be judged by workers and voters standard can he? Stalin was a communist leader, He was the head honcho, The man that made the decisions, Surely he should not have been judged by the standards of the peasants, He was after all not at their level, What rights and what criteria could they use to judge someone that was their superior? Pol Pot? Idi Amin? As we were not of their tribe or stature, We have not the means to judge them, right? What makes God any different? They all made the rules, ergo cannot be judged by mere mortal standards and norms, right? The bible contains many verses that paint God as a homicidal dictator, They paint him as a genocidal monster according to human norms, yet Christians argue that he cannot be judged. Are Christians mentally deficient or just plain crazy? Christians in the States and even more locally proclaim themselves martyrs and wail about their opression. These Christians that may attend the church of their choice, May worship the God of their choice are oppressed because they are not being allowed to force their morals and beliefs on others. Are Religious people crazy? The Words of Jesus himself were that he would return before the Towns of Israel had been told that he was coming back. That those listening to him would not die before he returned, That was 2000 years ago and the towns of Israel have all heard the message of Christ, Every single person he was speaking to has been in their grave for over 19 centuries, and he has not returned. Are Religious people crazy? They go on their knees and beg God for indulgences, even though God has an ineffeble plan, a Plan that is unchangable, Is God going to change his plan for these sinners begging for a new Mercedes? If God has a plan and is not going to change it, If he already knows what you are going to ask for, If he is indeed omniscient, surely prayer is superfluous and unneccessary? Are Religious people crazy? God is all knowing? He is almighty, He cannot make mistakes because he is God then pray tell why was he satisfied with his work in Genesis 1:31 and totally unhappy with it by Genesis 6:6? Are Religious people crazy? IN Exodus 31:17 God takes a sickie and a day off, yet in Isaiah 40:28 God is never ever tired? In Genesis 3, 11 and 18 God is not omnipresent, omniscient or always there but in Job, the Psalms and Proverbs the dude is creepily watching you inflicting onanism on your being. Are Religious people crazy? I could continue and ask another hundred questions, but I am bored now. I suggest that you read your Bible with understanding, Stop allowing your mind to make excuses for the Evil that proclaims to be your God. You do know that Satan killed only a few people and God killed thousands, Who is the bigger jerk here? Having said that I have no belief in your God or his nemesis, I suspect batman and the Joker would be more entertaining.
