Are there insane Christians? YES. BUT there are insane Atheists as well. I just feel that how ever the New Testament was written The Gospels where Jesus and His teachings are the true subject of the Books, are very interesting whether from a religious aspect or even a philosophical one. Jesus taught loving your enemy and your neighbor, accepting everyone as they are and most of all forgiveness. The vast majority of VOCAL Christians and churches use fear and hatred from the Old Testament and books NOT about Jesus but more about Paul. I am not a big believer in the Book of Revelations either. To me its funny, yet sad, that the extremists whose use of arguably the 2 biggest religions (Islam and Christianity) to justify their hatreds, are so radical they lose the meaning of their religions founders teachings both of which teach love and understanding get more attention than those who truly follow the religions. I am one who believes Science and religion dont necessarily exclude each other. Its weird that most Atheists are as stubborn in their belief that Science excludes religion and religious zealots believe that religion excludes Science. When in actuality IF people from BOTH sides could accept and respect the views of the other (not saying they have to agree) the world may be a better place and BOTH may learn something from the other. So, in the end, regardless of how or when the Bible was written, why is there such animosity for those who truly follow the principles of Jesus, Mohammed OR Buddha. When in actuality the 2 principles that are common in all 3 are love and respect of others. Is that so wrong?
