Are walls important? I think so, because the walls we live in provide safety and security against anything that pose a threat to us., The stories of Joshua and Nehemiah are fascinating, because in the one, the fortified walls of a city is destroyed by worshipers and in the other, the broken walls of a city is restored with its debris., In Joshua, the Lord showed His power to break down the enemys stronghold and in Nehemiah, The Lord His power the restore and renew and rebuild for it to become stronger than before. These analogies are quite alike in its contrast, because YHWH uses people in tearing down fortified walls through worship AND He uses people to rebuild broken walls. What am I saying? Well, I believe that we can also be used through our worship and obedience to tear down enemy strongholds AND rebuild our walls of safety and security to keep our enemies out!
