Are you a New or Old Age advocate, or both? Oprah Winfrey, - TopicsExpress

Are you a New or Old Age advocate, or both? Oprah Winfrey, whom some call the largest New Age Guru in the world today, quite wisely and strategically invited what media calls, the top two Christian Fundamentalist preachers in America, Joel Osteen and TD Jakes into her world of Expanded Consciousness or as some would call it, New Thought or even New Age. She visited, affirmed and highlighted their churches, homes and ministries and made Fundamentalist Christians see that she placed value on what they place value on and did it enough times to make millions, and who were previously suspicious or perhaps a bit fearful of Oprahs more progressive approach now feel less animosity and more curiosity, interest and attraction to her powerful message, ministry and mentalities. Even my 84 year old Classical Pentecostal mother calls to remind Gina and I to watch Super Soul Sunday. Who woulda thunk? Millions of others now do likewise and continue to open their hearts and minds to the new now and normal, spiritually and otherwise. They have begun reading New Thought philosophers and books to expand their way of thinking and perceiving the universe and spirituality in this 21st Century. The New Age movement is a Western spiritual movement that developed in the second half of the 20th century. Its central precepts have been described as drawing on both Eastern and Western spiritual and metaphysical traditions and infusing them with influences from self-help and motivational psychology, holistic health, parapsychology, consciousness research and quantum physics. The term New Age refers to the coming astrological Age of Aquarius. The movement aims to create a spirituality without borders or confining dogmas that is inclusive and pluralistic. My radically Inclusive Metacostal move towards and in Expanded Consciousness does likewise. Even Jesus is recorded to have said to his followers, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. He didnt say world (cosmos in Greek) as the KJV mistranslates; he used the word the Greek NT translates, aion (eon) or age. We are presently living in a new age. It is a powerful season in human experience and expression and its powerful evolution, spiritually and otherwise. Let’s embrace it and move forward in consciousness, character and culture! And so it is!
