Are you a parent with a child between 2-5 years old? Are you stressed?? If so, you may qualify for an exciting research opportunity! Suzan Ahmed, M.A., a clinical psychology doctoral student at Alliant International University is conducting her dissertation study in the San Diego County area, on the impact of journaling on parenting stress, mood, well-being, and self-compassion. The results of this study may provide a better understanding of parenting stress — a widely experienced, inevitable phenomenon — and expand limited research on managing parenting stress and how it relates to overall well-being. You will be asked to spend a few minutes responding to two brief questions each day or each week (depending on the group to which you are randomly assigned, by chance) for 4 weeks. You will also be asked to answer several short questionnaires online at the beginning and end of this period.
