Are you a runner? One of the best ways to avoid injury and get the most out of your run is to properly warm up your body. Static stretching where you simply hold a stretch without moving does not properly warm up your body. In order to warm up your body you have to move large muscle groups to pump blood through your tissues and increase your core temperature. Stretches where you simply hold the position and press lower should be saved for your post workout stretch.
