It has been a long month for me and I would like to pass a story on to all of you out there. It starts out with me as a child. As some of you know I am an only son. My parents I must admit spoiled me somewhat more than I think a multiple child family would have. They were careful not to go to Far though, have always been there and instilled good morales in me With that being said I will tell you that all though I loved my parents dearly I took them for granted for many years. It was not until I was in a very serious car accident that I realized how much they meant to me. They were there by my side the whole time. After that I got closer to them as I should have years ago. To this day they still put me first. They even have moved here to be with me here in Bryan Ohio. This is the second time they have moved just so they could be close to their son. The first time was when I had the accident, they wanted to be close to me so they could be there for me all the time, not 2 and 1/2 hours away. I feel blessed to have them. Now they are older and it is my turn to take care of them. Ok, you are probably going ya, ya yada yada what is this all about? Well here is my whole point to all of this. My dad had developed demensia and it was turning into Althsimers (not spelled right I know) He was doing pretty well until about a month ago when he fell not once but twice the same night. The second fall must have triggered something because he lost his way and faded in and out of never land. He has been in the Genisis Center for about 3 weeks now. Last night he about 8 oclock he passed and went home to be with his mom and dad.I will miss him dearly but am glad his suffering has been removed and he is at peace now.Heres what I am suggesting to anyone out there is if you have a parent or loved one that is special to you before it is to late make sure you let them know how special they are. I am glad I had my Dad and had the chance to let him know and show him how much he meant to me. I hope you can do the same for your loved ones too.
