Are you going to the Northwest Snow & Avalanche Workshop this Sunday? I will have a donation box at the Mammut table from 8:30-9am and at the lunch break. Bring any outdoor clothing (mens, womens, any size) or gear that you would like to donate to Climb Out of Homelessness. This is a Seattle based program that helps homeless men and women who have been affected by addiction turn their lives around. The program takes them into rehab, and if they remain clean and off the streets, they get to join the climbing program, which after many training hikes and climbs, heads to Mount Rainier to attempt the summit. For the Rainier climb, they are supported by guides donating their time, and they receive free rentals. However, the group is in need of clothing and gear for their training and other climbs that they do. They train for almost a year by running stairs in Seattle, climbing Mount Hood and Adams, and other local hikes. Message me if you would like more info. Hope to see you on Sunday!
