Friday September 20th the Salvation Army’s centre 16B Bakerfield Place, Manukau, Auckland 10 a.m. until 12 30 p.m. Matt Friedman was one of the speakers at the Prevent People Trafficking conference in April. His years of experience and activism in the anti-trafficking field, is known globally. Matt has a passion for mobilising grass roots action and is committed to assisting us here in New Zealand to become more effective advocates in order to effect positive and lasting change. We are delighted Matt is joining us again in September when he is one of our speakers at the Salvation Army’s Social Policy and Parliamentary Unit’s Just Action conference to be held September 18-19th at the Vodafone Centre Auckland. On the Friday September 20th Matt will lead a workshop which is open to anyone to attend, although numbers will be limited to 35 to enable a good discussion to take place. We think this is a great opportunity to learn from a highly skilled activist how we, in New Zealand, may engage more successfully in our anti trafficking work.
