Hi everyone, Sorry its been so long since weve posted an update. With Christmas fast approaching its been a very busy month Aidans doing great these days...hes still working very hard with Sophie 4 days a week and continues to improve all the time. Sophie is really focusing on Aidans Independent standing, as well as increasing his independent steps (without the use of canes). So far, Aidan has walked 6 steps all by himself and completely unaided!! Unfortunately, Aidan still has a great deal of fear, he is still lacking the confidence he needs to be able to walk independently. The fact that Aidan actually has the physical ability to walk independently now, is nothing short of a miracle. With hard work and lots of encouragement, Aidan will get there. Last week Aidan took a big leap forward, he permanently replaced his Tripods canes with his single canes, at school and in outside environments. Aidan has been using the single canes at home for awhile now, but only recently developed enough confidence to safely ambulate Independently throughout the school with them. This is a big step for Aidan and we couldnt be more proud of him!
