Are you interested in being part of a consumer reference group? The Hereditary Cancer Clinic (HCC) is looking for people to review a suite of patient information documents and letters. The role of the HCC is to identify families who are at risk of inherited susceptibility to cancer. In particular, the clinic performs genetic testing in families to find genetic faults which are responsible for significantly elevated risks of specific cancers. The HCC is looking for people who have not had cancer and who have not had genetic counselling to complete an online review of a series of letters and written information. The aim of this project is to provide a suite of consumer approved letters and documents which meet Health Literacy standards and which could be made available to other clinics for their use.
