Damage assessment has now been completed: Based on the photos supplied the packaging that looks to be present around the item, this parcel would have been insufficiently packaged to have withstood the 1.2 m drop to adequately protect the item in transit. Please make sure you now advise the sender if they wish to take this further they will need to log inquiry with their postal service. Once they log an inquiry with their postal service, US Postal Service will then request to see a copy of this report from NZ Post, it is then up to their postal service to provide any compensation payable to the sender.
