Five years ago today I married Troy Warnken in front of our immediate family and a bunch of merry poolside onlookers at our Key West Inn. I had a deep-in-my-bones sense that I was making a solid decision. He jumped in just time to see both of my daughters hit adolescence. (Change ensued shall we say...) We remodeled part of our house. (THAT was totally stress-free). He had to go back to school to freshen his CV and get a better job (actually a GREAT job that he loves). Weve had serious illnesses and setbacks affect those we love. Throughout the good and the bad, Ive known that I made a righteous choice. I have a partner who accepts me for who I truly am, who is tireless in his support of my hopes and aspirations, who gives me the freedom to explore and be my own person, whose good humor and attentiveness toward me and my daughters is now just a given. Many of you know Troy to be just as generous, soulful and kind-spirited with his friends and colleagues. Happy 5th Anniversary Troy! What is that? Rock? Paper? (Scissors??)
