Are you saved --- or --- are you just showing up on Sunday morning? There is a very simple way - for you to know - if you are following in the footsteps of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? That way - is to ask yourself - what happens - when you commit a sin? Are you sorry -- are you apologetic -- are you sad -- are you making excuses ---- or ---- are you so miserable -- that you are-----consumed-----with sadness -- shame -- guilt -- and -- sorrow. We can not truly be Christians - until we accept that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ -- was beaten -- spat upon -- scourged -- a crown of thorns was forced upon His head -- spikes driven through His hands - and - ankles ---- and ---- for six hours - He bore the torment - of dying on the cross ---- so that He could wash away ---- each -- and- - every one ---- of your sins. Once you have accepted ---- all of these things about Jesus ---- your own reaction ---- to the sins you commit ---- will tell you ---- if you are truly saved. If the sadness -- the shame -- the guilt -- and -- the sorrow ---- consume you - no matter how large -- or -- how small ---- your sin is ---- then you are truly following in the footsteps of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - and - you now know the pain - and - the sorrow ------ that comes with picking up your cross ---- each and every day. Or - as C S Lewis puts it - you now know what it is like - to be nowhere. Go with God - my friends.
