MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) is an 8 week complementary medicine program that combines modern science (psychology, neuroscience, medicine) with contemplative practices (meditation, breathing, introspection, light yoga). People who take a course in MBSR say that they feel more engaged in their work, more energized and less anxious. They sleep better and have fewer physical symptoms of stress. The MBSR program is reimbursed partially by a couple of Swiss Medical Insurances. The courses start in January 2015 in Zurich and Basel. The courses are taught in English. Places are limited.
