Are you suffering with FAHRS?? False Average Heart Rate Syndrome! - TopicsExpress

Are you suffering with FAHRS?? False Average Heart Rate Syndrome! It affects many people who think they are training smart but actually missing the point. Lets say your aerobic zone is 120-130 bpm. You go for a ride for an hour. You do 30 mins @ 100bpm and 30 mins @ 150bpm. You get back and are very proud of your 125 bpm average - smack in zone right?? WRONG!!! for 30 mins you undertrained and didnt provide any aerobic stimulus to your body. For 30 mins you trained too hard, produced more lactate than desired and burned sugar. you just wasted an hour. averages mean NOTHING. Look for Time in zone - its all that matters : Coach Gareth
