FREE MEDICAL CUM VETERINARY CAMP ORGANISED AT GHAT PALHALAN PATTAN Pattan: A free medical cum veterinary camp was orgainsed today at Ghat Palhalan Pattan of dist Baramulla. The camp evoked a phenomenal response as for the first time in this area a large team of doctors including lady doctors and veterinary doctors were brought together under one roof to perform a free health check up. Over 1500 patients of all age groups including children, women and more than 300 animals from in and around Ghat Palhalan were provided free medical aid and medicines by qualified medical experts from both civil organizations and army. The camp was organised by 29 Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles. Maj Bicky Sharma, Company Commander, 29 Rashtriya Rifles interacted with the patients at the camp and said “Army feels gratified to help the locals and this quest of extending helping hand to the society will continue with same zeal and spirit”. This camp was specially organised to mitigate the problems of the Awaam in remote area and provide medical facility to the needy at their doorstep. This initiative was well received by the public, as a positive step in reinforcing ties between security forces and the local population.
